Today, I want to share with you one of the secrets to achieving anything you want in your life. I discovered this some years ago and immediately went to work on myself. To be frank, it is actually not a secret but something we all know, but tend not to do for reasons best known to us. This is working on your goals everyday, until it becomes almost a reflex action, a habit. The video was for me a life-changer. I hope you find it helpful too. You can break or form any new habit with a little focus, discipline, determination and with the grace of God. We have heard that thoughts form habits; habits lead to character; character lead to actions and actions ultimately lead to destiny. Lets assume you are addicted to coffee, try doing without coffee for 30 days. Watch what happens the 31st day when you try to take coffee. You’ll notice you have lost that initial craving and appeal that you used to have. Recently, I started a 100 days discipline with a few close friends, where we committed to studying one chapter of the Bible everyday. We created a platform where we daily share our reflections and thoughts and this has led to the creation of a new blog which we will be launching soon. As I write this, we just crossed 40 days of that discipline and I can tell you it has been a life changing experiences for me. I saw things I never saw before, had a different perspective on things I thought I had grasped before and I am developing a new level of faith in God, love for humanity and a deeper sense of purpose. You too can become a better person and also improve at whatever you do by adopting simple disciplines everyday. Don’t try to boil the ocean, just take one simple habit or task and decide to work on it for one day, one week, or even a month. Keep at it daily and watch the difference it makes in your life. Are you in the habit of gossiping about others? Take a decision to restrain from that for one day, then stretch it to 2, 3, 4, 5 days. Find something about yourself that you don’t like. Take a decision to improve it. Get an accountability group. Do you want to learn a new skill? Why not start today. Set aside 30 minutes out of 24 hours a day to work on that. Start today and make it a daily habit, soon you will be on your way to your destiny.
